Taylor Keogh has been working with Glennmont Partners since 2012. Our work has primarily focused on its biomass-CHP asset, acquired from developers Eco2 – the Sleaford Renewable Energy Plant, Lincolnshire.
We established a Community Liaison Group and were tasked with delivering £280,000 worth of community funding as part of a Well-Being Agreement with North Kesteven District Council (NKDC). In addition, we act as their first point of contact from media and stakeholders as well as being proactive in engaging with the local community.
Taylor Keogh also works on Glennmont’s two other waste-wood biomass projects in the UK – Margam Green Energy in South Wales and Port Clarence Energy on Teesside.
Results:
• Sleaford REP’s engagement with NKDC has be regarded as one of the best public/private relationship examples in the UK; it was shortlisted for the ‘Deliver Better Outcomes’ award at the 2015 MJ Awards.
• We led on the delivery of a sustainability education programme, commissioning a public art sculpture and more through the Well-Being agreement.
