The Green Home Company opens new facility in Wales
25th January: The Government has just hours ago lost its appeal at the high court regarding the Feed in Tariff for Solar. Today one of the largest solar installers in the country, The Green Home Company, today opens its new offices in Bridgend, bringing new jobs and investment to the region.
The new operations hub will open today with an initial team of 80 employees and The Green Homes Company envisage that they will double the workforce by the end of February. The Bridgend location has been chosen as it is ideally situated to serve customers across Wales and the South West region because of its excellent transport links.
The new facilities will mean that all home owners with a south facing roof will be able to benefit from The Green Home Company’s free solar scheme, allowing customers to save an average of £200 on their annual electricity bills. The Green Home Company’s highly qualified solar designers optimise each solar install for every individual roof ensuring each installation reach its maximum generation potential.
Alan Proto, Founder and Executive Chairman of TGHC, said: “We are thrilled to have launched our new operations in Bridgend so that more people in the South West region can benefit from our solar installations. The country has an increasing level of fuel poverty and solar panels will allow our customers to see a real reduction in their fuel bills. The fact that we continue to grow in spite of the recent uncertainty is a real success story for the industry; we have demonstrated that green jobs and green growth are a reality.”
